Overview
IJDIR is a newly launched journal and is actively working to build its indexing profile. As our publication record grows, we will systematically apply to major academic databases. We are committed to full transparency — this page reflects the honest, current status of all indexing efforts.
📌 About This Page
All databases listed below are either already active or formally planned for application. We do not list databases as "indexed" unless they have confirmed coverage. This page is updated regularly as our indexing status progresses.
Current Indexing & Databases
The following services have been applied for and are awaiting confirmation:
📋 Application Submitted
DOI via CrossRef
Application submitted to CrossRef for unique, permanent Digital Object Identifier assignment — the global standard for academic citation.
📋 AppliedGoogle Scholar
Application submitted for indexing on Google Scholar, enabling broad discoverability by researchers worldwide.
📋 AppliedDigital Object Identifier (DOI)
IJDIR has submitted an application to CrossRef for DOI assignment. Once confirmed, every article published will receive a unique DOI — a permanent, stable hyperlink that is the international standard for academic citation.
🔗 Permanent, Citable Links
DOI links ensure citations to IJDIR articles remain functional regardless of future website changes. Authors should use the DOI when citing their own published work.
Example format: https://doi.org/10.XXXXX/IJDIR.YYYY.V1I1.001
Planned Indexing Applications
As a new journal, IJDIR is systematically building the publication record required for major database applications. The following databases are planned for application as we reach the required volume and quality thresholds:
🔵 Planned Applications
PubMed / MEDLINE (NLM)
The premier biomedical literature database. Application planned after establishing a minimum 2-year publication record with consistent quality.
🔵 PlannedScopus (Elsevier)
One of the world's largest abstract and citation databases of peer-reviewed literature. Application planned after 2+ volumes.
🔵 PlannedWeb of Science (Clarivate)
Global citation and impact factor tracking platform. Application planned following Scopus indexing and impact factor establishment.
🔵 PlannedDOAJ — Directory of Open Access Journals
The leading community-curated directory of open access journals. Application will be submitted once minimum publication requirements are met.
🔵 PlannedIndex Copernicus International (ICI)
International scientific database supporting evaluation, indexing, and ranking of scientific journals.
🔵 PlannedResearchGate & Academia.edu
Academic networking and repository platforms to maximise article reach and author visibility across the global research community.
🔵 PlannedSemantic Scholar
AI-powered research discovery tool developed by the Allen Institute for AI, offering semantic search across scientific literature.
🔵 PlannedDimensions
A linked research information system connecting publications, grants, patents, clinical trials, and policy documents.
🔵 PlannedMaximising Article Discoverability
While formal database indexing is in progress, IJDIR actively enhances the discoverability of every published article through the following practices:
- Rich structured metadata submitted to CrossRef and Google Scholar at the time of publication
- Full open-access HTML and PDF availability for maximum machine readability
- Unique DOI assigned to every article for permanent citation linking
- Author ORCID integration encouraged at submission
- Keyword optimisation guidance provided to authors in the submission guidelines
- Dissemination of new publications via social media and IAOI channels
💡 Tip for Authors
To further maximise the reach of your published work, we encourage you to deposit your article in your institutional repository and share it on ResearchGate and Academia.edu, citing the DOI. This significantly increases citation potential even prior to formal database indexing.
