Overview
As a fully open-access journal, IJDIR does not charge subscription fees to readers or institutions. To cover the costs of peer review management, editorial services, XML/HTML typesetting, DOI registration, digital archiving, and indexing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is levied upon acceptance of a manuscript.
✅ No Submission Fee
There is no charge to submit a manuscript to IJDIR. APCs are only invoiced after a manuscript has undergone peer review and been formally accepted for publication.

📌 Current APC Status
As an inaugural journal, IJDIR is in the process of finalising its APC schedule. Detailed fee information will be communicated to corresponding authors upon acceptance of their manuscript. Authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office for current rates before submitting.
Payment Process
Upon formal acceptance of a manuscript, the corresponding author will receive an invoice via email detailing the applicable APC. Payment must be received in full before the article is scheduled for publication.
Accepted payment methods include:
- Bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS for domestic authors)
- International wire transfer (for overseas authors)
- Online payment gateway (details provided in invoice)
A payment confirmation receipt will be issued upon successful payment. Articles will be published in the next available issue following payment confirmation.
Waivers & Discounts
IJDIR recognises that APC costs may be prohibitive for researchers in certain circumstances. A waiver or discount policy is available — please refer to the Waiver and Discounts Policy for full details.
Summary of available concessions:
- Full Waiver: Authors from countries classified as low-income by the World Bank
- 50% Discount: Authors from lower-middle-income countries
- Discretionary Waiver: Authors with demonstrated financial hardship — subject to editorial approval
- Editorial Board Waiver: Invited articles from Editorial Board members may receive waived or reduced APCs
Refund Policy
APC payments are generally non-refundable once an article has been processed for publication. Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate payment made in error
- Withdrawal of the manuscript before layout and production has commenced
- Technical error or processing failure on the part of IJDIR
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 30 days of payment. All approved refunds will be processed within 30 working days.
Use of Funds
APC revenue is used exclusively to support the operational costs of IJDIR, including:
- Editorial management and peer review coordination
- Manuscript typesetting, formatting, and XML production
- DOI registration and CrossRef membership
- Website hosting and maintenance
- Digital archiving and preservation
- Indexing applications and metadata submission
IJDIR is committed to transparency in its financial operations and does not generate profit from APCs beyond what is necessary to sustain publication activities.
